The Pain Of Rejection

Joy Auma

Everyone has story to tell when it comes to break-ups.Either it’s that childhood friend that disappointed you or that first lover that turned your back. Poetry has ways that unravel such deep emotions. Breaking up is the worst thing that could happen to a person. The feeling that the one you loved and cared most for is now an enemy to your emotions is traumatizing. While only a few break ups go well most of them end up being tragic. Among the effects that come along with break- ups is low self-esteem, feeling rejected depression and in worst cases one may attempt to commit suicide.

Change is painful. It takes courage to accept it.Personally,i wouldn’t wish such to happen to anyone not even to my worst enemy if he/she happens to be there.

For a brother or a sister undergoing such a hard moment, you should count your blessings. There is always a reason to everything that happens. I hope the reason was for the better.

Share your story and how you coped up with your first break up to help a friend undergoing such a difficult phase in life find a reason to continue living. Let’s all laughs at how funny it later became.
